Quick question before i start drilling holes!! Self doubt and all that.... what do you reckon mount waffle boards onto the bonnet using WestMids4x4 Or fit them to the sides above the rear wheel arches on either side drilling a couple of holes in the tub sides some rubber stripping to stop...

Would those Rover seats just drop straight on the existing holes or would you have to re-drill?

for those that would like to know last night i though fook it and through some diesel treatment stuff in the tank double dose! and this morning no white smoke later in the day no white smoke well fook me could it have been a really crap batch of diesel !!!!! who knows..

ok so i am looking at valve seals if there is a bit of blue in the smoke, i am sure there is not though, if no blue just good ole white injectors could do with replacing. Regarding the timing of the fuel pump ie a bit of overrun. which order would be the best order to hit this?

no smoke at idle starts first time.

James one big puff on start up then clear cloud is breaking up pretty well by the time it gets passed the front wing if the wind is behind

Just wanted to say that Busters walk through were spot on as usual quickly changed my Glow plugs 2,3,and 4 were all wet with black stuff assuming its nothing more than unburnt and soot. Even noticed that the battery light goes out straight away instead of being on till i get some Revs on it...

Had a look around the site and there is plenty of chatter on the regular failure of the mounting bolts for the air filter housing on a 300TDI defender all four of mine are fooked. Is there an alternative, upgrade, different way of doing it what ever you want to call it really, got a snorkel...
