Hey guys, a few weeks ago my disco 2 developed a very annoying noise. Like something plastic is loose and causing a knocking sound when car shakes vertically (bumpy road). I was able to identify the area and I'm 99.9% sure it's coming from somewhere near the grab handle, inside the headlining...

One google search and I was able to find a mineral dexron 3... https://www.penriteoil.com.au/products.php?id_categ=23&id_subcateg=176&id_products=35 Also It's not dexfon, it's dexron btw.

I've changed the fluid 3 weeks ago. I literally spent two days researching all over the internet what would be the best fluid. The conclusion is: Dex 3 Mineral! (Never use synth)

Didn't know about that. Also, Shhh don't tell my car it cannot have Dexron 3 on the ACE :D Well, ACE fluid can be the same as PAS, which can definitely be Dexron 3. Just make sure it's mineral.

Guys, just noticed LR sells two different types of shocks: for air and for coils. My disco originally came with air bags but has been converted to coils... Should I buy the coils shocks? Sorry if it sounds stupid :) Thanks

Well, isnt the crank sensor the only sensor that can leave the disco immobilized since the ecu doesn't use a default value when it's gone?

Guys, I think you missed the point. The defender guy needs money, this is why he is willing to get my d2 plus money. If I were to sell my d2 and add the same amount of money I would be able to get a defender with the same spec. This is a thread about changing a disco for a defender.
