lookjng for a new p38 advuce sought

Best option would be a late model (Bosch electronics) 4.6, with a decent multi point LPG system.

    The P38 has been sold

Best of luck with the Cayenne. You've definitely resolved the speed issues with a twin turbo 4.5 V8... :) Didn't one of those Cayenne's lap the Nurburgring quicker than a M3?

    P38A - She just won’t start – sob…

Erm, by calling the AA when the thing wouldn't start when I was trying to leave work. :) The diagnostics on the van identified a fault, which was then later cofirmed by my local garage. Sorry I can't be more help than that. If it helps, there was no spark on any of the plugs and no fuel was...

AC Condenser and Dryer change Walk Through.

My gas has all been sucked out by a garage, once they diagnosed the issue as condenser related. "No", said I foolishly, "Don 't replace it. I'll change the condenser myself, save a bit of money." More fool me. :(

Could be the crank position sensor. This recently went on mine and caused the same issues you're having. It's a 50 quid part if you fancy doing it yourself, or go the route I went an gave my trusted local garage £160 to fix it. I've got a 2000 4.6 Vogue.

AC Condenser and Dryer change Walk Through.

Just tried this. All came to pieces easily enough but for the life of me the 19mm nut holding the top ac pipe to the condenesr would not undo, and instead preferred to simply crumple and shred when I approached it with spanners, mole grips, pliers and harsh language. Extremely frustrating as...

I don't disagree on the appearance, but the Tata group is Indian.

EAS to spring conversion loom bypass

Sorry OP, but I think you've made a bad decision here. There are plans to change the MOT to mean that cars with mods like yours will automatically fail as they differ from what the manufacturer has verified as being safe. Moreover, even if your spring height is the same as motorway ride height...

    intermittent overheat and hevac

Sounds a head gasket failure to me. Do you get bubbles in the expansion tank when you rev the engine?

Never seen one like this !

I don't think it has enough exhaust pipes.

    lpg queries

Sounds like it may need a service. Could be a sticky valve or a blocked filter or something similar?

    roof cleaning!

:) Glad the forum could assist you Don. To pre-empt your next question... The easiest way to fill the tank is to undo the petrol cap first. Happy to help. ;) :D

Air bag replacement, a little tip from an newbie

Great tip, thanks! I've got four new airbags (and replacement clips) sat in my garage waiting for me to find the time to replace them, so it's good to know others have recently been successful with this. Was your replacement a Dunlop or an Arnott?

    I washed mine.

Agree 100%. A useful thing to have in all seasons, not just summer.

    What's a lad to do?

Thanks very much for the link, that's some car, but with my theoretical 35K I'd probably go for an E61 M5 or CLS55. I also quite fancy a XJR, but I think that can come later in life. :) The only 'posh' SUV I'd consider now is another Range Rover. The snob in me demands nothing less. :)...

    wiper blades

I had mine changed at my last service and the new ones are rubbish - something I have taken up with the garage. I plan to buy a set of normal decent wiper blades, Bosch probably. Around 12 quid delivered from eBay.
