I had gearbox problems and a front brake caliper sticking , so me thinks do the ball ache job first , so on the drive on me own five hours to get the old box out , then in between work five days to put the recon one back in , just the caliper to change !!!!!, NOT ....the brake master cylinder...

I know how you feel goonarmy mines been a total ball ache this year :mad:

thing is not to panic and "hit the brakes", with the wheels locked up , any grip that you might be able to gain will be lost. front wheels locked up = no stearing.

Ive got a 71 RRC its not my every day drive but in the time ive had it bout 6-7 years its done Europe twice and plenty of offroading in that time its had a new clutch ,two slave cylinders ,and two clutch master cylinders plus a brake master cylinder , when the clutch went their was no slipping...
