Is it any less reliable and simple as the 300tdi? I was also planning to tweak the fuel pump+turbo, egr and decat on the diesel to increase power and mpg slightly

does it increase the MPG? or just make it cheaper per gallon?

I did look at the V8, the insurance is actually cheaper for me (20YO student) which i didn't understand! but i wouldn't be able to deal with the reduced MPG - but they do sound amazing!

Now knowing how the seats are put together, but would you be able to take the bottom/back off a solid one and fit it too a foldy seat frame? - guessing the frame folds and the seat just goes with it?

Also, mileage - is it worth getting a relatively low mileage one? or do they go on forever and ever? - as long as maintained I'm put off from most at 180k+ ideally want something around the 120k mark - not too picky :P
