Recon box and worked fine before but not now .....

It show it is in r when it is in p and won't go into 1st . I have took it back to the place that fitted the new gearbox and they said they tried to adjust it but it won't work and said that it was xyz switch and that's the last I have heard from them .....

Not sure if I've got the right part now is it the plates that move near the stick or is it the little part that fits on the gear box ? I thought it was the part near the gearbox ??? Can the plate things near the stick go wrong and what would I need to look for ........ One thing after the next

Do you know if it's a big job . I don't understand the man from the garage said that when I moved though the gears it was all working right he was underneath the car , would that x y plate stop the car going into 1st or does the car go in to the gear the light is on ?

Would that stop the light changing next to the gear stick and the dash

Hello everyone back here again with a new auto gearbox problem. Just had new gearbox fitted and now it will not select 1st gear when I try and put it 1st the light stays on 2nd it's the same in low range . Took it back to the garage today and they told me that it is some electric plate thing...

Hello everyone Should be picking my rr up today just had to have recon gearbox and transfer , the question I ask is should I leave the plug in on or take it off ? I have heard the with the p38 chipped it's to much for the gearbox is this true What would you lot say

No welding on mine mate but lots of other stuff to go wrong that is true but mine goes anywhere off road at the moment it's very off road getting new gearbox lol

discos are better off road , dream on ! maybe cheaper to run but every time I'm green laning it's always the discos that get stuck

There was no drive at all , it would try but you could stop it by hand , I reved it once to if it moved at all and I got a load of crunching

They said around £1250 for recon gearbox and transfer fitted not sure if was extra for them to take the old one off and have a look should of asked really

What should I be getting charged for the work being done ?

When I was ringing round I was told that this garage was the place to go as there were only 3 places near me and I had heard good things about the head man there . I hope I'm not being ripped off , guess it's to late now .....

Just had a phone call from the garage and they have told me that the sprockets in the back of the gearbox are in bits and need a new gearbox and transfer box . I have heard that they are very trusted so have told them to go ahead. To anyone who might know does this sound right ?

Have you drained the tank , if you've been using without dryer could have lots of water in it and wouldn't hold as much air
