    Intermittent SRS Light - Discovery 2 2004

I think that plug would have been a bit more complicated, and also under the other seat. As it is in my D2. But i cannot swear to this.

I would just like to say

I have to confess that I am not very "up" in how all this works. I thought that a sacrificial anode works by oxidizing more quickly than the steel the tank is made from. I have no idea about what ours are made of. I just know that our water is acid to a minor extent, i.e. has a ph less than 7...

    Intermittent SRS Light - Discovery 2 2004

to answer your questions point by point: 1/ This is quite common and reflects the make/break nature of connectors. Or maybe wire(s) broken within their insulation. Often it is down to a bit of corrosion. 2/ Yes it is tight, I have always managed to manage to fix the wires under the seats by...

    Intermittent SRS Light - Discovery 2 2004

No, that doesn't look intermittent at all. It isn't connected to anything so cannot be the problem. If you don't have a diagnostic, look at the yellow connectors under each seat. The wires to them are very thin and the connectors are rubbish. If a wire is broken you would be better off...

Getting Gwen the Mini to Run.

I am wondering if maybe the previous owner put plugs in it that are too cool for normal running. I'd go for standard NGK bp6es Agree, this is the correct way to go. More or less. Technically when it is correct, the revs are supposed to rise slightly then drop back again. But I wonder how many...

You could probably replace the leather interior with a cloth one and make a profit. Only ever driven a hired 6 speed one. Only any use on M-ways. Or A roads with lots of dual cabbageways. Glad the sat nav is working! Still sounds like a nice car!!:):):)

Disco 2 Rear shock absorber stripped lower captive nut!!

Don't sweat it, I drove for miles with the top bolt on the nearside rear missing! I then fitted a bolt and just managed to squeeze a nut in where it needed to go. It is still there. Thinking about it, I had previously done what you did and thought, "Oh, it's on enough!". It wasn't!! 🤣 🤣 🤣

    Random tapping noise

Do you have a mechanics stethoscope or even just a plastic tube you could stick in your ear while moving the other end around where the sound seems to be coming from? Or failing that you could put the handle of a long screwdriver or a pry bar to your ear and touch the other end to places on the...

I doubt in that case that it is anything to do with the snapped stud, Do you get it with the engine running but with the vehicle stationary?
