They cause me to save power on the battery that's all, and there is nothing sexy about my landy only the crack along the windscreen

I have an "S" reg Freelander 2 door, the windows wind up and down "sometimes" and then don't! I have checked the fuses, when i take it to a garage ..they work? when going home ..they don't...I HATE MY LANDY, if it were to struck by lightning I would throw a party! anyone any ideas where the...

the new turbo cost me £325 + dreaded VAT but its cheaper than a new engine.... and today i have been offered a Rover 418 engine and TURBO for free...... Damn!!!!!! Thank you all for your help in this problem..

many thanks for all the information Stownrow, the Landy has gone to a man in wales to look at it, some 130 miles away! he said it is the turbo, not the engine, and bet me £100, I have given him the list above in case I think i will win...let you know...i am keeping the car as i think i like...

I am suffering the same problem too, have removed the big 90 deg hose to check for leaks ....nothing, it only comes under load, I cant get it to go when parked and under the bonnet, it sounds like something sucking... any ideas?

I tried to connect my OBDll tuning pc to my freelander!!! to check the engine. and I find Landrover do not use OBD at all, and the program and pc i need is over £400 to do this job. Does anyone know something cheaper? or is the plug under the dash for making tea?

My freelander broke down today, "called the man who can" Green Flag and they couldnt! so they took it off to the garage 30 miles away (£50 per hr) he rang me to say the fuel switch needed re-setting? thats all... SO, where is it, what is it, and why should it do this popping up? only had it for...
