hi I would say that the two are not connected which may be throwing a bit of a red herring try replacing the brake light switch and check the reversing light switch on the gearbox Hope you get it sorted Gordon

you can get a egr bypass on e-gay for 39.00 better than making a one as there is a lot of heat at the blanknig part there are lots of threads on egr bypass have a read through will make it a lot clearer

hi I would be inclined to get underneath and check all cv joints and the bearings that support the propshaft etc also check if the weights are still in place that balances the propshaft if it has fallen off you will see where it has beeen it must be something fairly worn or missing to...

Hi Sue In view of what you have said i would strongly recommened that you replace the whole caliper they are on e-gay for about £ 85.00 but better to be safe than sorry where brakes are concened:eek: Hope you get it sorted Gordon
