Might sound daft but that happend to me first time i went off road. Is the engine trying to turn or is just nothing happening? I was lucky it was just something to do with the alarm and immob all i had to do was close all doors lock it and unlock it and it worked.

Hi i was having treouble with my disco pulling to left turned out just to be the tyre. Anyways this morning i decided to have a look at teh hub anyways just to be sure, as soon as i took off the drive member cover to reveal the locknut etc everything was covered in the swival grease (alarm bells...

yeah im going to change them but to change the swival seal i take it you need to take off the actual swival its self!

Alan, i had a look over mine today everythign seemed ok but i noticed that when i turned the steering to the left it went further and bends the steering bar! im guessing the steering damper is goosed so bought a new one ill let you knwo how it goes once it arrives and its fitted!

Bugger eh Alan! i had a wee look and found some of my grease from the swival hub seeping out too. Think im going to get a cv kit and a wheel bearing kit and strip it all down next month (i work away) and hopfully that will sort it out but let me know if you have any luck before then, cheers Gary

just had a look on ebay i can get a wheel bearing kit and a new cv and kit for about £50 is there anything else i might need? i would rather get everything and just replace stuff now so its all done.

yeah think im going to get bits stripped down, i might get a wheel baring kit just incase so if it is i can at least do it there and then without waiting for parts. I just hope it will last a bit longer i work away so the missus will have to take it easy

Not only is my 300tdi pulling to the left i noticed today a rough grumbly sound when full lock to the left. I had a look and some of the grease in the swival hub was seeping out the seal. (I replaced the oil for grease months ago) Is it possible the wheel bearing? or something else?

just noticed today, when im on full lock to the left i can hear a rough grinding sound, does this seem like the wheel bearing is away?

Cheers ill look into all that, yeah im not sure if normal garages would want to deal with landys so might have to go to them to get it looked at ill giv it a try though.
