I had similar issue and replaced hazzard switch and all returned to normal.

Buzy lad and weather been ****e up to now, so just got round to it 5 months ain't bad ;)

Had the defender 5 months now and heater never worked, struggled all over bloody winter with the 5am starts and not being able to clear the screen, managed to fix it this morning so am a happy chappy right now as was an easy fix and didn't have to buy any bits :)

Don't you usually get eratic idle if maf sensor is playing up? You can actually buy maf sensor cleaner in a spray can ,might be worth a shot for under a tenner ?

Try bolt on bits they do a modern switch with 2 options one for just wipe and another with wipe and wash function and a fraction of the price

Just bought it a new terrafirma steering damper ,should get it fitted this weekend if weathers fine

A suppose there is some heat but not direct,the silicone hoses are good for dealing with high temps so shouldn't be an issue

Hi turbo/intercooler hoses are terrafirma and the smaller silicone tube was purchased from ebay for the grand sum of £2 for half metre ,mine too was looking slightly perished plus for a couple of quid was worth doing at the same time as the other hoses, just need a new air intake too turbo hose...

Ok so update on the moving pipe, I removed all the turbo/ intercooler hoses yesterday and when I removed the bottom hose the part that was moving (circled A in above pic) came away with the hose.I cleaned it up with brake cleaner and refitted into the manifold tapped in with rubber hammer,was a...

Removed old bumber and fitted tubular one :) Also fitted silicone turbo hoses and allisport cyclone breather ,this nice weather makes a difference

Managed to get the steering wheel nut loose after a week of soaking it daily with WD and anything else I could squirt at the stubborn bugger, next is to try and get the bloody steering wheel off :(
