Further to my issues with my discovery, it looks like a turbo and probably the head have both gone. Have purchased another engine to swap over. I really appreciate everyone's input the other night, thank you. Im sure further advice will be needed during the swap so watch this space. Thanks again.

So have a series 2 td5. Been driving fine. Suddenly decides its going to chuck out all its coolant and black smoke out the exhaust. Car turns over but won't fire up after replacing water etc. Any suggestions, it's on the side of the road as we speak? Thanks in advance.
