I suppose and that way all i need to do is get some tyres which I need to anyhow. Any recommendations for tyres? I mainly drive on road and have the old style wheels.

I need to fit some new tyres on it anyway due to cracks on the current ones. I have a OD already. As for hills I live in norfolk!! I think I might eventually drop in a 200 tdi or a rover v8 as I want to use the LW as a daily. Mind you I have used it as a daily before and enjoyed it as it is.

Gents (and any ladies (doubt it though)) Im considering fitting some disco diffs to my S3 LW. She has a 2.25 diesel and runs ok but what Id like to know is would the engine be man enough to power the change in gearing?? Many thanks

I've got an S3 lightweight at the moment it's just got some rather old tyres on not sure what make as the landy is over at a mates.

Hello chaps, Just wondered if you can fit tubeless tyres to the old type wheels? Or is it a no go? I only ask as i need to get some tyres (got picked up on the last MOT for being cracked) and was thinking about getting the old wheels shot blasted and powder coated before having the new tyres put...

Thanks for everything chaps. Problem solved, turned out to be the fact there was bugger all oil in both the trans box and gear box. Still won't engage gears other than reverese, but as the green bible says its a master cylinder.

Right got it out of first but still squealing like a pig getting buggered that's been set on fire:frusty: Chaps just a thought could it be something as simple as not enough oil in the transfer box??

How will I find out about the rev idler?? And where will it be?

It sounded like something was being chewed up but then with the clutch down it was fine!
