    what a plonker!!

tried it - the Cortina altenator and battery didnt have the balls to turn the Freelander over - hardly surprising really - 1972 Cortina with a 44Ah battery and a fairly low compression Pinto compared to what a Freebifter battery has to push out to turn the lump and run ancillaries

    what a plonker!!

yay!!!! It worked - pretty easy really, pulled off the pipe just before the injectors (where it isnt under high pressure) and use the fuel pump to push it out, had to keep switching off and starting again Flattened the battery but I got Land Rover Assist to come and jump start Me mate had...

    what a plonker!!

Cant believe it - I have done it again!! 30 litre of unleaded in the diesel AGAIN!!!!! LR Assist recovered me home and its not sitting on the drive - I dont really want to shell out silly money again and was thinking about having a go at draining it myself, only trouble is when i try and...

    whoops now

hmmmmm, from, not better - made me realise that the hippo is pretty much the same size as a 'normal' car - the disco3 seems bloody huge in comparison!! That said - you seen the price of em??

    whoops now

Well the nice people at Hereford Land Rover charged me £163 to drain and clean out and fill up with diesel - could have been much worse I guess. It has left me with a big problem though - I just love the Disco 3 they lent me for the weekend - great on the road and even better on the muddy...

    whoops now

Just had a lovely drive back from wales - across the Elan Valley with a couple of excursions from the main road ;-) 12 midday - In a great mood, sun shining - good sounds on the stereo - decided to pull over in Leominster for fuel, did my usual trick of jamming the fuel filler in the trigger...

    Thanks landyzone

my motor is running great :D :D :D seriously tho' - you got more chance of seeing the popes arse in asda than getting a balanced view on any car forum - as the yella fella states, folks generall only come here when they have an issue that needs resolving. For what its worth, I've had mine...

    TU3B Chip/Tuning box

Cant say enough good about the tuning box - I usually have mine wound right up to setting 7 and get piles more power but also get better fuel economy (don't need to be so heavy footed I guess). Mine is off the car at the moment and it seems a real disappointment every time I drive it (will be...

Just broke down and I dunno why?...

Not saying you are wrong - I'm just struggling to see how a bump or tow start would snap a cambelt unless it was severely on it's last legs. It was the 'tow the car for a minute or so' post that had me scratching me head - if 'Bump starts are death to Catalytic converters' then this method is...

    Gremlins

Hi Dave Just a thought - is it a three door? If so, make sure the lid is on securely and the latches are done up tight - the sensor for the roof is on the offside rail that runs at 45degrees to the ground where the roof meets the body - worth making sure that this switch id OK and hasnt...
