    Radio removal 2006 Freelander

hiya! its a bugger of a job to remove basically you have to start with the arm rest and work your way forward - take off the arm rest/storage jobbie, then the hand brake cowl etc. until you get to the radio As for the Parrot kit, I am unsure - had one fitted to mine but cannot check just...

What can i use to remove writing on spare wheel cover??

I agree - they are there for a reason though - because of it position, spare wheels are much higher up and exposed to the sun more than those on the car - saves ya spare from perishing prematurely. :D

    ouch! bosted freelander

wouldnt know where to start with stuff like airbags and what have ya - if they write it off, I dont wanna see it again! If they do write it off, I would interested to see what the insurance company offer in terms of a replacement though - I have "new for old" so will that mean they have to...

    ouch! bosted freelander

Yeah I am fine thanks - testament to Land Rover build quality I guess. I always thought whiplash was a b/s condition bought about by people who want to bump up insurance claims but the way my back & neck feels now tells a different story!

    ouch! bosted freelander

Aha!! it seems that I have set up some good healthy debate here. I was pretty vague with my post this AM as I was trying to get stuff sorted with insurance etc. I will elaborate further ; I was turning right at an island and was hit from the nearside by a lorry (driver claimed not to have...

    24k service

Hey sadsack Worth bearing in mind that the service does not necessarily have to be done by a main dealers. I have mine done by an Independent LR dealers here in the West Midlands. They are half the price, friendly and competent (they are ex LR employees) and they stamp up the service record...

    ouch! bosted freelander

Hi folks Had a seven and half tonner try to customise the Freebie on an island yesterday - airbags went off like a baloon factory and the force of impact threw me across the car so hard that the gear selector was snapped in two!! Feeling both sore and lucky this AM. Question now is will...

    Roof Holder/Stand?

I have been mulling this one over for ages - I usually take mine off and end up putting it on the caravan on the drive , only problem is that it is bloody heavy and it only just goes in through the van door. The snag with making some kind oof hanging device is that there is literally nowhere...

    KWIK FIT - ur thoughts?

OK - its 80 quid for the first change then each change is FOC thereafter - I dunno if my Kwik Fit is differently from every other but whenever I have been in for brake or tyre work, they have always filled out a form showing exactly what the wear to the tyre or disk etc. is - I also know a chap...

    KWIK FIT - ur thoughts?

Experience on auto forums tells me that Kwik Fit and the like go down about as well as a car alarm concert at 4 in the morning but I noticed something when I was in getting tyres put on the missus' car yesterday. They have an offer on brake shoes and pads whereby they will replace them FOC for...

    fuel economy

Yes its the TU3, I went for the remote kit that allows you to adjust 3 presets from the glove box but, to be fair, I have never fitted it - in fact the gizmo is fitted onto a patch of velcro on the top of the battery so that (if needs be) it can be taken off (like on the, ahem, frequent (twice...

    fuel economy

Hi Docksy and welcome to the boards I have a 12month old TD4 auto with 27k on the clock and the figures you quote seem about right compared to mine - Roverrons gizmo can make all the difference tho - I tend to run mine switched to #9 as I love the extra throttle response and power, so this...
