I've still got a diesel guzzling 4x4 Land Rover. This make much more sense around London than the Freelander.

Hmm I have a new shiny new motor. But it only has 2wd. It won't like water or mud, but it is pretty good so far in poor weather. Best of all there is no road tax, it is congestion zone friendly (no charge) and costs less than 10% a year to run compared to my Freelander .

Fitted a new DR650GW dash cam. Oh, hang on, that was the Leaf. I looked at the Freelander which is looking unloved, across the street.

Tried to remember what it looks like...... I used my Leaf to go on a long trip up north instead. Saved me a fortune in fuel.

I have used mine on and off road. I love the heated leather seats. The sun roof is great and makes the cabin feel more airy.

What is this 160 upgrade you are talking about and what is an RDA?

Now why didn't I think of that. Would have been a lot cheaper..........

Thanks. I'm in no hurry to sell, as I need it for my holiday at the end of March. There aren't any chargers where we are going, so I need an infernal combustion engined car for that holiday.

Oh, and I would have to pay £100 per year to park it, as the Leaf will be charging on my drive and I only have room for 1 car! Not looking good for the Freelander.

I'm collecting a Nissan Leaf on Thursday. For 95% of my journeys it will cost me next to nothing to run £0 road tax. £0 congestion charge. If I have to pay for 'fuel' it will cost me about £10 to do 400 miles. There are loads of charging stations up and down the country. And at every motorway...

I am constantly surprised at how tall my Freelander 1 is compared to a standard height one, let alone a Sport!

Maybe it was on Rover Ron's site that he suggested changing every 12,000 miles. I know I have seen it somewhere. Can't hurt it doing that often.

Having had to cancel a 5 day trip greenlaning in Wales, I might be up for something. Not sure my new vehicle will be up to much off-road, though it's transmission would be perfect. It's 100% electric......
