Hi The cam sensor is to give your engine management info for start up. Once started it then relies on other sensors around your engine to keep it going. neilc

If it was a fuel filter or pump I doubt that your problem would be solved by filling up your tank.Sounds like something else.I woul maybe try a code reader to see what the fault was. neilc

Hi 03 plate and on with the td4 the fuel pump is in the rhr wheel arch.Turn ignition on and leg to the wheel arch you will hear it prime up. neilc
