Maybe flickr would be a good way forwards... you can add comments to each photo and album/set i believe...

was just thinking for ease... with my limited understanding of wordpress, its just a long blog, and not a very easy way of searching... lets say you have 50 photos in each album, you'll be scrolling for days to find one greenlane you did a few weeks back, thats now right at the end of a list...
