Technical wizard help needed ( electrics)

Thanks for all the ideas guys, much appreciated. It certainly looks as if the hazard &/or relay is going to be the culprit. I've got a friend who is an auto-elec coming round on saturday for a look if i have not sorted it by then!!! cheers Kev

Technical wizard help needed ( electrics)

Will have a look at the relay but this is a new one from RDX for LED lamps!! I would be more inclined to suspect the loom as every other electrical light and lamp are working ( even the rear indicator when using the hazzard switch instead of the stalk switch ).

hi cant be the hazzard switch if they all work using it ....or can it?? not sure how that circuit works!!

Technical wizard help needed ( electrics)

i dont think it can be the loom otherwise the lamp would not flash when using the hazzard switch!!! or is this a different circuit?

if the front right side ind lamp works then would this not indicate the stalk switch is ok?

Technical wizard help needed ( electrics)

Hi I've been ( slowly) rebuilding a 90, after converting from a van to a cab type, and basically taking on a lot of improvements along the way. The biggest issue i have had was with the electrics as the loom was a real mess of DIY by previous owner(s). So out came the split charger, central...

    Line-X Protective Coating - Thoughts???

Hi Guys Before you make your mind up Bankz5152 i would recommend you speak or even visit a dealer of Line-X. I believe there is one in London area and in Slough, to see exactly what you are looking for it or anything else to do and they may be able to point you in the right direction. Also you...

    Line-X Protective Coating - Thoughts???

Point taken Thor1950 Although as bankz5152 says if you're going to do it then it should be prepped well and remember it is not an anti-rust measure but a protective coating from chips, scratches dinks etc. The stuff i saw can be hit with a hammer and then pannel beat out again. Hard to get...

    Line-X Protective Coating - Thoughts???

As most of the body work is Alli i can't see what rust it would be hiding!! Like i said it is a protective coating, perfect for throwing gear in the tub etc. I've seen them get Water Jet treatment after hauling deer carcass in them and they come up well clean. Whilst i would agree regarding...

    Line-X Protective Coating - Thoughts???

Hi mate Please excuse the ignorance but wtf is a tratter  Is this code for tractor or the underside of a Landy? Quick answer is the cost does not include prep work like de-rusting or conversion but this can be done at extra cost although having converted my own 90's rust i would say...

Help desperately needed with 90 wiring

Ah well, latest update...... new AMR 2352 Loom proved a dud with regards being compatible with my setup....only one light on the pannel came on and no rear lights etc at all !! :-( Got to bite the bullet and try to source a complete system from Autosparks. Finally managed to speak to Paul...

Help desperately needed with 90 wiring

Hi James The fuse box is the blade type which is included in the loom the engine is a disco 300tdi transplant. The missing plug to what I thought was a dim/dip unit might well be a voltage transformer of some kind. So I'm now not sure if it can be left unconnected.

Help desperately needed with 90 wiring

forgot to mention the loom and fuse box and relays are all the same it was just the dim/dip unit behind the dash that did not have a plug for it on the new loom!!

Help desperately needed with 90 wiring

Hi I have a transplanted Disco 300tdi in a 90 body. Have just done a rebuild and converted to an open bed cab type setup. the old loom was realy tatty with a few burnt wires so we decided to change it rather than mess about rewiring etc.
