yep the very same fluid it left the factory with now got 170000 under its gearbox:)

just got back from me hols 2 adults 2 kids and a caravan 2836 miles round trip not a hic up or a single drama arnt freebees good:D

been told the same dont touch it why i dont no :confused: but the hippos got 170000 on the clock still the same oil it left the factory with and all is well:D

couple times a week try to take it round to the red line and flat out just to keep things nice and clear its just used and abused every day:D

td4 all the way i just use it every day on and off road apart from a few niggles its been bullit proof which is more than i can say for my last few landys

greetings all well the hippo has just done 163000 miles original engine ird vc gearbox (auto) and diff is this good bad or just plain lucky:D

jedi its not oil jug or thermometer thats the prob its the parking drive too steep and no on the road parking

fair play to you for doing it yourself i wish i could the fact is i have not the facilities( very steep drive and no room to park on the road) so no choice but to send it to a garage:(

had mine along time now with a lot less issues than a lot of peeps on here 160000 on the clock still going strong if the box does let go will try and get another box am still on the original vc and ird so all 3 will prob go together:doh:

maybe its just another quirk of freelander:rolleyes:
