cleaned out intake manifold (full of crud) put it all back together very pleased with myself until i discovered i had lost one of the 11mm nuts that hold manifold in place cannot find one anywhere bugger:mad:

changed top ball joints, anti roll bar bushes two new handbrake cables and sorted out seized rear brake adjusters happy days:D

mot today passed no advisory's happy days

to be honest i think its the look of the draw with the auto box i know of people that have had the oil changed and the box has failed also know people the boxes have failed with a lot less mileage so i will leave well alone until it does go bang then the hippo will go to that great scrap yard in...

like i said had it from new full stealer service history up to 12000 then done by myself after that.The only thing thats not been serviced is the auto box cannot find anyone to touch it apart from the dealers and they wont £182 of my english pounds not a chance its still changing as it should...

probably a bit excessive but because of the mileage oil and filters changed every 4000 miles

sounds to me is all i need to keep the old girl going is a teddywood:D

hi all been having dark thoughts of getting rid of the hippo its a 2003 td4 with 1960000 on the clock starting to get niggling little problems with it had it from new so i am quite attached to it do i get rid or is it the better the devil you know sort of thing your thoughts are appreciated

ok so over the weekend i have changed the tailgate brand new genuine regulator brand new genuine handle and the window still does not drop below the roof trim so i can open the back door safely all out of ideas any help would be appreciated cheers

nope sorry fella and if i did would not have a clue how to get them on here lol:o

mine are just threaded bar with locking nuts on the end no slots or torx:confused:

hi there not screws they look like bolts bottom left and right of the regulater undue the nut and screw the threaded bar in or out depending on which way you need the top of the glass to go bit vague i know but when you the bolts you will understand hope this helps

hi all just changed the tailgate on the hippo (rust issues) all went well until i put the window up. no matter what i try i cannot get the window to close under the trim always goes up outside the trim what am i doing wrong:confused:
