Hello All, I have a Disco 1 300tdi EDC which sometimes when you turn the key it will not crank, its the last bit of the key turn is where nothing happens, all the lights go out as it is sending all power to starter as normal. Starter is good and power to everything is fine, this happens...

If I was to put a new wire in from ignition does anyone know which wire I can tap into as it will need a live which doesnt lose power on startup, i.e. glowplugs/starter.

Update: The problem is the stop solenoid. However, this only works by putting a lead direct from the battery to its, not with the original lead. The original lead has 11.5v going to it but it doesnt work? Would the cause of the spluttering to a stop be a feed issue or the fact the plunger is...

Thanks, there is nothing on the inner wing apart from the vacuum pump for Cruise Control so Im thinking its something to do with the TPS, would anyone on here know if that would cause a non starter?

is it on the accelterator pedal? looks like its been tampered with before as it has 6 wires, 2 cut off and 1 tee'd in going back towards the ECU, WTF. Would a bad TPS cause a non start?

Update, checks all done, electrics are all ok, sender is good and mesh is clear on sender. The question is is are there any tests to do to see if the pump has failed? If it has, with it being and EDC, is another EDC pump a direct replacement or does it need coding to the vehicle?

Please dont tell me it was a Lynx System. Mine did the same, I plugged in a Lynx System and it thought the ECU was a TD5 and re-wrote some **** to it and that was it, non starter. I had to replace the ECU and Immobilser AS10 unit from a scrapped D1 as a complete unit as they are matched together...
