Batteries: help a guy in need................

A leisure battery is designed to release a slow current over a long period of time, which is whats needed in a caravan. A car or normal vehicle battery is designed to release its charge in quick bursts for maximum effect, e.g starting the car. Hence why i need a leisure battery, they last longer.

Anyone into boats. Wind genny info wanted

Ye its for charging battery when out and about. Thing with solar panels is you need a decent one, at least 60 watt upwards to do a half decent job. They are very easy to break, and they dont work at night. The wind jobby keeps going even when your asleep.

Anyone into boats. Wind genny info wanted

Right im after something along the lines of a wind generator/turbine for simple outdoor battery charging. Does anyone here use one on a boat, or has used one? How effective are the smaller ones? Im looking at a Rutland 503. And does anyone have one they want to sell by any chance?
