I was thinking while cursing today.............the FL is a motor designed for use with a pillar lift and not being flat on your back. Everything I have done underneath makes me think this. It's low and heavy. Once I get it running it'll be on the jacking ramps stat. I do not trust axle...

Gosh that is quick. I took about 5 hours today. I lowered the VCU with front prop attached with a small trolley jack. If I did this often I'd make a tailor made viscous coupling unit cradle to fit into the jack. Also once out next time has to be quicker but I doubt I'd need to do this again.

I was so short of room I doubt a speed screwdriver would have helped me.:D

Also order a wobble extension set. I have a three piece, had it for years, and it not only gets used a lot but saved the day today on the top two little buggers on the front prop. Something like these...

I am trying to find any posts that will tell me if I can use a 4 pin clock in place of my knackered 8 pin. The bars are nearly all gone. It's a 2000 3 door Freelander. I found a post that talks of snipping wires but no more than a mention.
