why do you want to remove the compressor? if you turn the AC off the compressor wouldn't engauge anyway.

sorry yes it is aTD5 the water pump isn't driven off the drive belt on the TD5?? it seems to have an idler pully, that's if i'm right?? and i'm presuming that it's starting to seize.

been to a independant Landrover garage today to get the three amigos sorted :D well as the drive belt was screeching i asked them to replace it whilst it was in. they told me that the viscous fan was seizing, hence a wurring noise, ok so here's the confusion. how can the viscous fan seizing...

i've got the standard leaking sunroof at the front. the previous owner has sealed the glass to the body with very poor quality silcon sealent. as a very tempary measure i've just cleaned up and resealed with better stuff, hopefully this will do the job, until better weather. and i can replace...

might be worth a little look at the wiring harness as it passes from body to rear door. could be a broken/storted wiring????
