What condition is your alternator in ? Have you been in any water ? I've just had to replace mine as the bearing went the light come on the a mile up the road I had to pull over as I could see smoke. When I opened the bonnet my alternator was glowing bright red, I was stood in a pub carpark...

No need just make a catch MIT out of anything soft and build it up then bungee it over injector, you don't want to let this just fly out

Now I've got to understand the engine from working I can see that it wouldn't run without a belt iv got a spare alternator from misses old man it's of a v8 range rover only have to change the wheel over to fit my belt

So I cleaned it up and got the glue gun out and it's did the job perfect, not in a rush to get a new one now lol and I'm going to glue the next one on the bolts to keep them protected

Also found a split in the sender unit the day I was to do a 150 mile trip to Leeds

I'm also grinding rock sliders down and cutting the cat out

Quick way to get the copper seal out, use one you already have out and find a long bolt that will screw into it and it pulls out easy, I tried everything this is the best way

How I got my injector out, it took me two days and a lot of wd40

I used a long screw to get the seal out

How did you get on with this ? I used a make shift slide hammer :)
