Then i noticed a small black pipe between the plenum chamber and a valvey looking thing by the coil pack at the back of the engine.The pipe was split all the way round so i snipped about two inches...

Hello there my v8 96 gems 4.6 not gassed is having a bad time on tickover.It normally ticks over at 700 800 rpm but the last couple of days it drops down to 400 rpm and goes back to700 800 . When you pull off it has slight back fire and struggles to reach 2000rpm and then it will be fine..this...

I would check the fuses under the drivers seat .I can't remember the one to check but if it blows you're not going nowhere...it happened to me once
