Try some builders chalk or talcom powder.

Been out and had a try at it . The lettering is painted on .I've found that 600 grit applied wet with lubricant removes the paint and 1200 grit polishes up the plastic again . The small area done so far still has a very slight ( shadowey ) outline of the lettering so I may have to go over it...

Well got it working again but cant say I know what the problem was. Disconnected the battery as suggested and upon reconnecting found door would open but glass didn't drop. Once door was open I tried the dash mounted rear window switch. There was a bleep from behind dash each time the switch...

Just ripped the vinyl part of my spare wheel cover. I have another semi rigid cover but it has a dealers logo and details on it . Anybody know how to remove the lettering without damaging the plastic underneath ?
