70 miles thats far thank you soooo much i have just called a mobile mechanic who will listen to it on monday and give me a quote im dreding what he says

dad never fitted pump the bloke who done timing belt done it :eek: dad just provided the pump :confused:

any help would be great please i am at a total loss on what to do apart from put it on ebay as scrap x

its been back to him once after the cam belt change as the fuel pump was making a bad noise so my dad had a spare fuel pump which he fitted he said part of the pump was broke ????? now its making even more noise banging and clanging and knocking etc it took him 5 days to get it started

i agree just hope and pray he hasnt caused too much damage

the bloke who done the belt said the engine is knackared but the noise wasnt there till after he done the belt it sounded fine b4 :confused:

lol ty the problem is there never seems to be anyone local and everything in cambridge is soooo bloody expensive i can do bacon sarnies not sure about the cake lol :D

okay ty i will try and find someone to come look at it for me (not the bloke who fitted the timing belt) and keep my fingers crossed its not f***ed :)

ok it has been driven about 15 miles since it was done and ive started it a couple of times so my dad could listen to the noise could that cause more problems sorry for all the questions but i put every penny i owned into buying her and am now skint and no way of getting her fixed :frown:

great lol whats the worst that can happen cos trust me when it come to me its always the really bad expensive things that go wrong never anything cheap and easy :frown:

ty for the reply i will have to find someone to do it as i know nothing about cars are the push rods expensive ? it sounds like someone hitting engine with a hammer and when u rev it the noise hurts your ears ive not moved it off the drive since i have got it back im too scared to drive it...

hi i have just had a timing belt fitted on a disco 300 tdi as i am skint after buying the car a mate fitted it for me as he said he had done them b4 now the car starts but sounds like a bag of nails has he got the timing wrong? if so what damage has he caused and what sort of cost will it be to...

help please front passenger side window not working changed ecu to get back ones going replaced regulator and motor so thats all fine it goes down but wont come back up any ideas please could it still be the ecu ? any ideas on how to get the bloody thing working please

3 windows workin one goes down not up could it still be ecu ??? window regulator all good
