Thats the plan, it is sitting on a custom chassis at the mo with transit wheels, might get a knackered chassis off a crashed 110 and make something. The idea of having the same wheels and a whole spare axle appeals. Was going to play with the idea of hooking an alternator to the axle so it can...

I have a dixon bate drop/adjustable hitch on at the mo, the holes for the nato hitch are threaded so those type of bolts won't go, think i'll just modify the bit you move up and down to take the new hitch, holes are close maybe just a bit of filing will do it.

Picked up a genuine NATO hitch today. Going to fit it to the cross member but does it go straight on, the holes look good but seen some pictures with a strenghtening plate or reinforcement bracket on the back. Just need to find some bolts.

Tuned Td5 is just as good.

Going to convert a sankey trailer to a mobile camper....tent on top type thing. Does anyone know: Will Defender wheels fit on? and are there any ball/pin combos to bolt on the back of the landy that will take the nato ring as most dont seem to be big enough, don't really want to use a nato hitch...

Fuel is no problem, and camping is no problem, its only the Pyrenees not the Atlas Range.

Spent some time there on my way to Morocco and back, nice drives and fuel stations everywhere, all of them Repsol lol. Some great campsites, some of them huge areas with club houses and cafes, paid about 2-4 euros per night, some said if you eat in their cafe you can camp for free.

Td5 has a few more electrics but buy a nanocom for £200 and it does all the stuff the garage can do (reprogramming etc.) Just as easy to fix a Td5 as a 300tdi. Took my 110 Td5 csw to Morocco with no worries.
