Right, my old rear silencer had fallen apart, rusted at the bottom. I've hacksawed it off (Why, oh WHY couldn't they make it EASILY removable?!) and now have the exhaust finishing up just behind the left hand rear wheel. It is a 3" pipe eh? May weld on a new section with two cuts in it, so...

I'm not sure on the p38 to be honest.

lol! The exhaust is very easy to remove, provided you have a socket set and are careful of lambda sensors etc.

And it seems to be coming from the gearbox area. Nothing serious, leak-wise, just annoying. May just put in some shields for that area of pipe, so it just runs off and doesn't get incinerated

now it starts to leak on the OTHER side! Charlotte - plugged that ****ing maddening leak from the exhaust so I'm well chuffed. I'd say the underneath just needs a blasting and then i'll see where it's coming from. But how do you turn a RR over to clean underneath lol

Well, ironic I read this. I've just plugged up the MINUTEST air leak from my left hand manifold on my 3.9 classic. It would be really (sic) annoying! like night and day now that it's fixed, and a gorgeous V8 burble down the pipes if you stick your head under the car. Get a vacuum cleaner...

Well...they'll be under a steel sheet (Irish commercial regulations) and the belt mounts...well they need to be removed altogether and re-welded over. Getting it converted to LPG in Armagh. So, if it has no back seats, and the windows panelled out, what does that make it in the UK?
