Bearing in the top is well gone taking shims out didn't make a difference and bearing feels like it's seized up a treat

Hi quick update started to check the bearings on the n/s and found I have more work than I thought seal on the swivel is shot this happened when I jacked it up ......... Just ordering seals an bearings to do the job I can only find swivel grease not oil or is just diff oil in there ?

So now I've repacked with grease I need to top up oil around the swivel ? Thanks again I owe you a beer or two !

Hi guys while still search for my wheel wobble issue i stripped out the drivers side hub and saw firstly ..... Which I thought was strange as I was expecting grease not oil as I'm in the front of the hub I no the diff has oil but there is no where oil can get to where I am but them found...

Dude if it helps I was in your boat a month ago I had A £1800 budget go a td has had loads of work an tickets I'll run it till it gets to bad to repair it's only got 20000 on the clock since full strip an rebuild put money aside when it goes drop a tdi in beauty is guys on here can help you fix...

Hi guys done some investigation looks like the rear track rod ends are gone and also the steering damper is shot lol so will get replacement parts fingers crossed that will cure my wobble !

its just that hose thats cut in the top photo i should reconnect it then i guess !

sweet nice news for a change possibly doing a 200tdi convert later so ill worry if leaks get worse

ok so why would some one cut it surly its gonna over boost and run lean ?

i have a pipe in photos below that runs down from the turbo to the throttle body i belive i maybe wrong normaly am lol but mine has been cut and blanked of i cant find out why any ideas ?

hi all was under the defender today diagnosing another fault when i spotted some oil leaks i didnt notice when i went to see it first pic im not overly bothered by second pic is this a transfer gasket leaking ?? third pic the hole where the oil seems to leak from what the heck should be in...

No movement in either orientation, so I'm thinking it is the damper but befor I tear it off could the damper cause just the one wheel to wobble, I no the Britpart name is well not good with suspension and other parts what are there bushes like mate of mine has a set of bushes for the damper but...

Right steering damper on inspection looks well, shafted ! But how should it function same as a normal damper smooth and no leaks in guessing bushes on both ends of it are like dust. Ball joins seem ok wheel bearing ok weights still there I have a rear axle with disc brakes but I don't no about...
