Nobody rate Goodyear Wranglers anymore?

Had this problem on a mondeo i owned, turned out to be a screw stuck in the tyre. might not be ur problem but worth checking your tyre. you neva know.

It's a td4. Starter motor just clicks. It seems like there's not enough power to turn the engine over. Only happens when it's cold. Had a jump start the other morning and it started ok. Thats why i had the battery checked, but was told it's ok. So now i'm thinking better battery might cure...

TD4 is the one to get (bmw engine) expect to pay around £5-6k for a half decent 2001/02

Keep having probs starting whenever there's a frost, The engine wont turn over. I've checked the starter motor and alternator their fine. Cables all seem secure & clean, So had the battery checked today, Again thats ok. I'm now thinking perhaps change the battery for a higher cca one...

Exactly my point Willow.. Why buy engine oil developed for F1 race cars running @ 16000rpm or whatever.. just to put it in a diesel engined road car? as long as it meets the manufactuers recommended spec it will do the job. Obviuosly there are other criteria to take into consideration...

10w-40 spec B3. is the important bit. pays ya money and takes your choice on brand.. I use part-synthetic as oppose to full. Fully synthetic seems to be overkill to me.

Is your car actually overheating? or just temp gauge reading showing hot? If the temp switch is earthed it will cause the gauge to go to red. If your car is overheating, Could be an air bloke in your cooling system.
