Thanks for the advice, have looked at a few I think the windows I can remove and lay flat will be ok, however I think the side windows in the removable roof section may be tricky as I beleive these are bonded. Have plenty of tint so maybe a bit suck it and see.

Going to start fitting 70% window tinting film to the rear windows of my TD4 this weekend. Will take some before and after pictures and post them for anyone that might be interested.

Awww this is confusing lol. So basically tinting front windows is a no go. But im ok to tint rear windows. This would work for me as unless they decide to pinch my car keys they would only be sat in the back. :-).

Think I might go for 70% rears and 20% fronts leaving windscreen as is. Like many others I always use side mirrors and have rear view mirror angled to keep watchful eye on the kids. My carpark is very open and on a hot day the seat belt buckles really heat up so can imagine how hot kids get in...

P.s still havent found the little S**t that stole the bag with my first set of keys. Just glad I had a second fob even if it didnt work at the time :-).

No haven't been scared off just a very long and stressful day. But yes key fob issue all sorted. The solder connections for the battery had corroded. So quick trip to b and q to get a gas soldering iron and all was good. Apologies to englishbullterrier for being abit touchy. Just a little bit...

Just purchased my second freeander a month ago after the block cracked on my v6. Was not cost effective to repair. So now have a 2001 TD4 3 door. Looking forward to exploring this forum and participating where I can.
