So I need to remove the encasing, weld the nut, and then weld the casing?

I found the nut in which the bolt goes to be lose, I opened up the floor and found the encasing to look OK. The nut inside the encasing is loose, but just a bit. Is that normal? Or should the nut AND the casing be 100% fixed and non-movable?

If think I am having the same problem. Did you fix it?

I've heard about this on this forum before, got pictures? stories? proof? This does sound like a cool option, but has anyone ever really done it???

I replaced the ignition leads, rotor cap and spark plugs, this seems to have solved some things. I placed some pictures and a video on my blog: Freelander Owner: Ignition system overhaul All in all, as you stated the shaking that remains seems to be normal.

I have the BFG AT 215/70R16 on my '99 freelander, great tyres! Look good on a Freelander. Big question with these tyres is raised white letters in- or outside?

I would guess that they fitted a BMW diesel instead of a petrol engine... If it's really a petrol I'm very curious which BMW engine it is.
