    freelander 1.8 over fueling

Sorry to hear that you don't have a solution yet, but at least you know what isn't causing the problem. I have a working 1.8 Freelander from '98, can I check anything for you on a working engine? It sounds like a real challenge to figure out the problem, that fact that most people would...

    LRM Freelander article

I few months ago there was an article about the Freelander in the Land Rover Monthly magazine. Does anyone have this, or knows which issue this was? Thanks!

    Help!

I would make sure to bring it to a qualified Land Rover specialist not just any garage! They should indeed be able to read out the car with a reader, this could point out a problem in seconds.

    Help!

Sounds like a very weird problem!! I would guess something electronic is broken or a connector/wire to it is faulty. Maybe the ECU or something is wrong? Do you have any clue how the fuel lines got loose?? And what engine? and model year?

    freewheel perhaps?

This has been discussed on here before. I even contacted Ashcroft on this, their response is also in the thread: http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f9/freelander-selectable-4-4-a-80714-7.html From Ashcroft: No updates yet...

    Land Rover and Dakar Rally

I know they are both based on Land Rovers, great. But why no Disco's, Defenders, RR? If an X5 and touareg can do it who no Land Rover???

    Land Rover and Dakar Rally

Why do you hardly see any Land Rovers compete in the Dakar rally? Ever? If Land Rovers really are the best 4x4xfar they should be winning non stop!

If HG is replaced would Timing Belt be changed also?

 I was thinking the same. OK, the k-series has problems but who cares? It's still a Land Rover and a great car! As far as I can tell if you fit the new gasket, oil rail and dowels it should be OK! People tend to blame the Freelander and the K-series for just about anything, with proper...

    RHD to LHD

I have been looking at the dash, and also noticed that it is symmetrical. Like the picture suggests you can 'simply' move some units around on the dash. The hard part would be moving the pedals and all kind of wiring for the dash etc. The good part is that the engine bay is large enough to...

    broken subframe

:D But our are saying that the entire subframe is broken??? I had the chassic crack problem myself, and fixed it: Freelander Owner: Cracked Chassis If indeed the subframe has broken instead of the chassis, then: :nopics:

    Auxiliary belt tensioner broken bolt

I replaced both the auxiliary and the steering pump belt on my '99 1.8 petrol engine today. Well at least I tried to... After applying the correct tension to the auxiliary belt I tried to fasten the bolt that keeps the tension wheel itself in place. After just a few turns the bolt snapped...

What is the correct way to rotate the tyres on a Freelander? I keep getting different advice from everyone...

    Dutch Freelanders owners?

The problem is that there are not much Land Rover events in The Netherlands, and when there are a Freelander is not the most welcome one around. Well, it's not that bad, but a Freelander minded meeting would be more fun I guess...

    Dutch Freelanders owners?

Is anyone on this forum from The Netherlands, especially from the north? I have been working on my Freelander since a few months, now and then I run into problems and are looking for someone with similar problems or who knows how to solve them. Normally I don't really like the idea of a...

    freelander selectable 4+4

A lot of people use there Freelander in mondo mode without any problems (apparently). With a clutch system you would do the same as people who have there Freelander in mondo mode, but with the flick of a switch instead of hours of messing around.
