That turned out to be the problem with my Discovery in the end.

Mine was still under warranty. The garage assumed it needed a new hub and replaced two. It turned out to be a wring fault near the ECU. A new hub might be the consensus of opinion though.

Similar happened with my TD5 Discovery. It could be a faulty ABS sensor or you may need a new hub. Oh, and.......:welcome2:

Mmm, I might need to pop it back to the garage next week, it's still under warranty.

There's no switch though is there? I pop it in to reverse and the lights should come on. Forgive my ignorance but I know nothing about electrics.

My reversing lights aren't working (Disco 2). I've replaced the bulbs with no joy. I've looked in my Haynes manual and fuse 25 is responsible for these and the brake lights. The brake lights work though so what could it be?

I've ordered one from Island 4x4.

I need a new rear wiper blade. I got a new front ones from Halfords who don't stock the rear blade, it's a dealer part they say. Where is the best mail order to get these from please? I have used M&M 4x4 and Bearmach in the past for other bits. I see a few of you have used Paddocks. Any...

I had this a few weeks ago. Fortunately my Disco is still under warranty. A new ABS sensor and two new hubs later it turned out to be a wiring fault from the ECU, or so I was told. At least I didn't have to pay. :-)

Give it a good old squirt of WD40. It might just be a bit gunked up due to all the winter weather. That's the extent of my technical know how. Sometimes it's something simple. Similar to when the rear door handle doesn't work. WD40 often loosens that up too.

It's all in the timing! I have had mine for about a month and I was a bit ham fisted with the button to start with. I either didn't dab it enough or too much. All fine now though.

That seems a lot to me for a car of that age. If something mechanical goes wrong, needs fixing and costs that much then fair enough, if it's required to keep the car on the road. I had mine done at a body shop as it was a cosmetic fix for £200. I guess that was all I could afford.

£445 inc. that's a lot of money!!!

Is the lift pump on the way out? I had a similar problem with my previous Disco and it turned out to be the lift pump.
