    Series 3 disc brake conversion

There is a chap on the seriously series forum who has developed a kit that uses standard defender calipers and disks and just attained European TUV approval. They were mentioned in "The Landy" rag http://seriouslyseries.createaforum.com/new-board-3/disc-brake-conversion-diy-style/75/...

    Hertfordshire Lanes?????

Hiya JC good to hear from you, I must confess noone really likes this upgraded site, plus that fact that it has no tapatalk support its kind of fallen out of use. Also personally I am in one of those phases where I virtually never look at forums at the moment (I sadly started using faceache more...

    ALRC Project

Well done Owl finally seeing the end of the tunnel. This has actually brought me back into LZ for a good look since the tapatalk support doesnt work on this site anymore. Is it true though that P&D are leaving the ALRC or is it a rumour?

Add an extra 12v Socket for Dashcam

Personally I have a small blade type fusebox fitted into my battery compartment then I have some of the lines fed live from the battery and some fed via an ignition operated relay. I had already wired various relays in there as I have the split charge relay for the caravan towing wlectrics in...

    Killajoules Series 80" upgrade project

Well, last weekend I finally got the 80 out and about and took it to out the club family day where we played on Matts two trial sections. The brakes are just the same LOL. So next step will be the remote servo but I suspect it will be a next summer job. SFF is about to relocate to Sutabs garage...

    Killajoules Series 80" upgrade project

A bit more today, 10 steps forward, only 1 step back! as with the bleed nipple, the brake union refused to budge too, so I had to nip out to grap a pipe slice and cut the old pipe off to release the old cylinder I found that the forward piston was seased farly solid...

    Killajoules Series 80" upgrade project

This weekend I have mostly been servicing the brakes. The front brakes so far proved relatively easy, the dust covers had all swelled over time and fell off when the shoes were removed, however this has led me to understand the hidden issues with bleeding TLS brakes. I cleaned out the cylinders...

problem bleeding brakes after a fitting lwb axle

Just thought I would add my observations to this as I am about to try bleeding mine. Having just replaced all the seals and lown out the cylinders with compressed air I can see that the actual fluid ingress points appear to be halfway up the cylinder, this theoretically means that both cylinders...

    Killajoules Series 80" upgrade project

OK, looking a bit more closely at the photos I have taken recently I can see that the current brake configuration is what looks like an early Series 2 Brake master cylinder and a Series 3 plasic reservoir which needs replacing due to a small hole in the lid and possibly a cracked output pipe...

    fitting overdrive

Chap on the LRSOC forum is making double bent levers for the OD. Personally, take it off, heat it cherry red and bend it yourself, thats what we did, same with the annoying S2/3 gear lever where you tw@t for fingers in the dash when engaging 1st or 3rd. Strange how LR left them like that.

    Parabolic springs query

The Rears I got from Jones for my 80" were handed. From what I recall even on conventional the fronts are the same, it's just the rears that are handed.

    Need help please

Has the vehicle had a sudden stop? There is usually a fuel cut off switch somewhere in the engine bay to switch of the pump in the event of a crash, unfortunatly I have never looked under the bonnet of a D2 so cannot really assist further.
