A blowing exhaust will affect the readings. Until you've sorted that, you'd be wasting your time with anything else. The access hatch makes doing the fuel pump a doddle doesn't it! Bloody P38s don't have that.

Just bear in mind that there's hundreds of P38s for sale up and down the country. If in any doubt about anything, walk away. There'll be others.

Possible. Symptoms like that are usually a wheel sensor not reading correctly. Only way is each wheel off in turn to see if there's anything obvious.
