    Changed all 3 rear diff mounts, cured squeal from front brakes, made and fitted water shedder for rear door. Tomorrow I will be fitting new rear brakes and new abs sensors.

    Yes you use the same 3 holes and no you don't need a bracket. If in doubt hold the mud flap up to wheel arch and you will see where the holes line up. No doubt the screws will be a real pain to remove so plenty of WD40 will help remove them, if you do need to replace the screws the part number...

    You say a rattle not a knocking or thumping noise if that's the case have you checked the exhaust manifold heat shield as they have been known to break away from their mountings hence the rattle. hope this helps.

    Hi Regarding your first problem I had something very similar on a ford which turned out to be the alternator packing up and as I did nothing to fix it until the car would not start not only was the alternator f****d so was the ignition coil.
