Cheers I’ve got the LR injector seals today and the copper washers from LR are at least .5mil bigger out side diameter and the rubber O rings look chunkier ..I notice on the previous failed copper washer I took out had pitting on the front where it meets the head which would point to grit being...

Err unless it’s a td4 which I suspect it’s not both have the same Engine and I’ve owned vehicles asw as my D2 TD5 and I’ve actually rebuilt a few K series Engines so I do know what I’m talking about ..

If it’s the K series you tend to get a mix on the dip stick this quite common on My MGF (same lump) but does not mean the sump oil is contaminated-unless your losing coolant? Clean the dip stick several times then try btw way just a thought did you jet wash your engine recently as the K series...

I’ve changed the seals but I’ve still got the same problem that when I turn the ignition off and restart my disco it takes time to build up pressure if I drive off there’s loss of power then after 30 sec it fully powers up the pressure valve had been changed less than 3000k ..the fuel pipe was...

Turned out the cylinder at the back of the engine was filling up with fuel even though the seals where new it leaked and locked the engine up -so I turned it over by hand and a cup full of diesel shot out lesson learned off to Landrover tomo for new seals and thanks for the link .i watched a vid...

As mine was losing pressure I didn’t bother but I think you can just squeeze the connection on the fuel pipe at the regulator to release the pipe , I’ve since found out it’s wise to suck the fuel out of the first injector (you take out ) cylinder to avoid cylinder lock ..and there’s a procedure...

The bars leaks clog the heater be carful,I had an Mgf once the same k series engine in the freelander 1(petrol ) used to overheat changed the head gasket radiator drove me nuts was a jiggle valve and pipe in the heater hose conundrum guess what full of bars leaks as the thermostat used to leak..

Thanks Brian , Beadles changed the transfer/gear box seal in 2013 then it done 3000 miles till I acquired the disco in June leaking so much the cross member is covered in oil asw as the centre box , I reckon they damaged the seal while coupling the box,I rebuilt a few gearboxes so not a big...
