Has any one tried the Diagnostic Scanners that are being sold on Ebay for around £25, where do you plug it in on an 05 diesel. My Haynes doesn't show it.

Just sold mine on Ebay and got a fair price for it. Put a low reserve on it some thing like you would get at the auction. Stick it on for 7 or 10 days. Don't except a full Paypal payment ( it's costly + you also pay Ebay) but ask for £200 deposit on Paypal to be paid within 3 days of action...

05. 3 Door td4. When I open my car door there is no resistance at certain points, on other cars I have had you get a check when the door is half open. Does the 3 door Freelander have this check. If they do how do I sort it. Degs

Been there got the IRD teashirt,I searched the web and came up with Rally Trans, on 0208 558 4028. Mine went and they sent a recon one within 24hrs cost about £550 and delivered to local garage should do labour for around £300, then they collect the old one. Great service. Degs

My 2000 X reg 1800 makes a clicking noise from the nearside wheels when I turn round the first few corners. Not sure if its from the back or front. Its not a drive shaft noise, I have a feeling its some thing to do with the ABS. Degs

It happened to me twice, all the dash lights on but nothing. I thought it was the battery then the anti theft device but turning the key and putting it in and out for 20 minutes it started. As I had just bought it , it went back to the garage only to be told it was alright, till the next time...

I had the same problem on mine and it was the ignition switch, you only need to change the switch on the bottom. the switch is around a tenner (not from a dealer) and it takes about 15 minutes to do. From what I remember you just take off the steering wheel cover and unscrew it.
