That's the sort of impression I got while googling. Anyone have any thoughts on de ecu'ing a diesel or is it impossible! Take a v6, add mechanical fuel pump & new injectors etc or is really a no-no...

I had thought about the v8 already but have read conflicting reports about the weight. It's very heavy etc etc but then read no worse than a tdi with added winch/underbody protection/etc etc. Is there a over heating problem that persists with this engine!
