Yes the box is out - it's never been in since I bought it as a recon box for a different project - just sat on the shelf - never even been filled with oil ....

I need to change the input shaft on my r380 from the longer shaft to the shorter one. The box was rebuilt about a year ago and has not been used so still nice and clean. Is it a really bad idea to have a go myself or should I find a co willing to tackle the job. Any idea if the torque bolt size...

So basically just hope I do not have any oil leaks as I do not have the ring.... having said that all the seals and bearings are new....thanks very much for the advice...

Spot on - thanks very much for the picture link - however I may have a new problem - seeing the picture - is there a ring around the six bolts that bolt the backplate to the swivel hub - I do not have a ring - only the bolts & locking tabs

I've got myself in a bit of a muddle assembling the front brakes - everything including the backplate is in pieces - does anyone know where I can find a picture of the backplate complete with shoes/springs/etc - I do have the exploded diagram but a picture would be a great help - thanks

Thanks very much for the help. I thought for a minute that the spacer was missing - so if I have this correct just install new bearings & seal on the hub assembley and slide it on the stub axle ........hopefully the new bearings will slide on easier than the old one to get off ...
