I think it sounds like it runs slightly rougher on the 50/50 mix and I had to increase the idle speed as it was running alot slower, but on the other side when I was driving it through town tonight, it didnt seem to giving any smoke when i stuck the pedal to the metal,:fencing:

No I was running 50/50 but im thinking this could be too thick still for up here lol I have also checked the glow plugs they were ok, but the battery didnt seem up to much so a new one is getting fitted tonight the battery is only a year old. see what happens tomorrow morning.

Oh well so much for cheaper fuel, my landy didn't want to start this morning in the frost, is it the fuel, battery or glow plugs I will check them all out and let you know :-(

Well another first for me, I was in the supermarket tonight, and I saw the vegatable oil was £2.70 for 3 ltrs, 90p per Ltr compared to £1.44 for DERV so i did it 24Ltrs of Veg oil in the tank topped up with DERV, so I will see how it runs over the next couple of days and get back to you. :clap2:

Why dont you grind off the old clevis hitch and the bolt on a new one if you cant find a replacement hitch i think i have one in the garage.

trying to upload pics but not letting me, yes i had hand cranked it and then spun it over on and off for 10 mins prior to starting it, the previous owner had hand cranked it every month to stop it siezing.

:D After 10yrs as a non runner she lives, Starter siezed so after a lot of carefull cleaning and freeing off I got it working, fitted it back on and she spun over with a new battery a good sound :cool: so out with a plug, no spark a quick clean of the dist cap and rotor arm and points and a good...
