Can you mix stainless with mild steel? I thought mixing was a bad thing.

Have you tried using the key to lock/unlock ? Sometimes helped on my old one when it was temperamental :)

I'm trying to do mine too. Got the box section sorted but this weather sucks big time lol. Good tip about the front body mount through the floor as mine is bad might as well open it up for easy access then a new plate :)

I'm wondering if OP has got the wrong wheels and was suggesting changing the hub? Other than that as said nuts off wheels changed new nuts on lol.

The not blowing hot air would worry me. Have personal experience with 2 that blew lukewarm both had head failures. Hope it's not the same for you :)

I have to admit that thought crossed my mind too. Was the mot done with same people? If it was may pay to get a re-test somewhere you trust.:(

I have checked on google all garages who currently do m.o.t and it's not listed around here anywhere. Can I suggest using the Uk.gov website? You enter your reg number and current mot test number and it will tell you about every mot the car has had. Hopefully it will list where it was mot'd too...

What actually defines a rolling chassis? I'm thinking that it would be the chassis and wheels? Just seen 1 on ebay advertised as "rolling" chassis but does not come with wheels. How does it roll lol?

I normally stab through low down from the side with a posi driver then after its drained use screwdriver as lever to undo :)

+1 I had the same problem with a britpart oil filter. Changed it for a better one no more flickering light :)
