I had to hammer a torx into the screw head and again put a pry bar against the bolts in order to undo the screw.

I thought it would be simple to take the securing bolt off from the drum brake but once again this was seized and wouldn't budge.

The rear bolts on the rear propshaft are 19mm and mounted onto a rubber mount, I undid the front three bolts as I wanted to take a look at the splines on the propshaft to see how they were and make sure it was greased and clean.

The rear propshaft bolts onto the drum brake and again I slid the pry bar through the joint to undo the 4 bolts.

I think that the rear bolts on the front propshaft are captive and held in with a large circlip.

I slid my pry bar through the joint in the propshaft and then undid each bolt at a time, and moved the pry bars position as needed.

Anyway, after a while of staring at my car through the window. Back under the Land Rover and mark the front propshaft. I would have liked to use paint, but both my pain sticks were dry as I haven't used them for years, so I had to scratch marks in the propshaft.

I would stress that you need to take care doing this. I chiseled off 7 bolts, some came off with no problems, some were an absolute nightmare. In total it took me a few hours to do all the work and then the rest of the day to chisel these bolts off. On the 7th bolt whilst setting up to chisel...

He said that the cross member has captive nuts that seize and you can get to these captive nuts and chisel them off with a big chisel and large hammer.

All of these bolts were seized and rounded off or snapped. I tried drilling the bolts out but snapped about 10 drill bits. I tried grinding off the bolt heads but couldn't get the grinder in without grinding the cross member so stopped and thought what to do. At this point I called Hunters...

Front pipe to centre box. You need to remove the centre box but as mine was so rusted I left it where is was. But as I discovered the gearbox didn't have enough room so it does need to come off if you can. I did take the centre box and rear pipe off the rubber mounts and move this to the side...

Remove the under tray. There are 6 bolts that hold this up. At this point all I did was remove the bolts and slide the tray back as much as it would go, which isn't far. Later on I raised the car body up as much as I could by supporting the car on the chassis and with another set of axle...

Remove the fan cover. The good book says that you need to remove the fan to protect the radiator. I didn't bother and with the fan cover removed, placed some tough cardboard between the radiator and the fan to protect it, as later with the gearbox coming out the engine tips up and the fan can...
