Call and check directly with your local vic check Center, I MOT'D and then booked mine in for the VIC i was told it needed (booked VIC online). i then waited the 5 weeks for the test, went for the test and was told by the tester that it did not need a vic as it was the wrong class of vehicle...

I'm pleased, they are very tight on the wiper motor but mine fitted, nice and crisp seem distortion free even with the stereo's amp maxed. I also thought they were pretty cheap for what they were £40 from memory. I'D reccomend them in a heartbeat The pioneer DAB radio I fitted is pretty good...

Right, decided to replace my worn front drive flanges and CV's over the weekend, thought i had best do the slightly leaky swivel seals at the same time. At a glance the swivels looked fine however now i have everything apart and clean their badly pitted/worn :frusty: so where to get a pair...

I also have a pair of 6 inch pioneers in the back of my double cab as the main speakers and a slimline vibe sub at the back of the seats amazingly the sound is pretty good, very balanced betweenfront and rear, you can even hear it over all the defender noises at motorway speeds :-D

You would be supprised how little water comes in when the vents are shut, the better designed roof vents have a water drain tube to, it would run down a door pillar easily enough...

I would be tempted to try mtf94 in the gear box, really improves shift quality (available from your local land rover dealer)

Powder coat is possible over the galv, the place I go to does lots of powdercoating of galv security fence and pipework. I'd suggest a satin black and inject inside with waxoyl for the ultimate protection!

Run on 18's with a/t's some that are a 60/40ish split road to tarmac, the tread block sizs and shape being more road biased will make them quiter and better handling on the black. the reduction in sidewall height will make the handling much sharper but by staying at a sensible size wheel...
