Again: EWS and TD4 swap- help needed

That's what it was sold as. Do you know whether I have to change the CCU as well? It should talk to each other or what is the trick to make sure it does?

Again: EWS and TD4 swap- help needed

I just changed the EWS and trust me that connector with the slider on the plug doesn't come loose easily. it was bought as a set together with the engine ECU and the rest of the stuff. Also, the EWS is talking to the diagnostic. But I can't get it to recognise the key.

this b...y thing is driving me nuts. things I have done (remember, Freelander wasn't starting, not even the pump was humming) bought a pack of all things needed to mobilise it in the UK : TD4 EDC, BCU,EWS, Key chip and even a barrel. Changed EWS, Engine ECU (EDC) and now the key chip. it...

Again: EWS and TD4 swap- help needed

OK just found it it was taped under the the CCU. Thanks... I found this Fred https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/l322-programming-new-key-to-the-ignition.178700/ So this works the same then? I just wonder why they don't explain it correctly in the the workshop manual :( had assumed it works...

    Hola from Guanacaste

@Shippers please post a photo :) it was an original colour that i picked because I had seen one in Belgium many years ago. Mine was a horrible grey, worse there were parts from two bodies in different shades of grey. Awful. And since the place where I have been working for nearly 3 years do...

2002 L322 Column lock not activating , air suspension inactive , no data link on diagnostic

12.2 is not enough. The other day I couldn't even turn an ignition key at 11.8. I am hardly using the Hawkeye Pro on the l322 now because the iidtool is far better and faster, but I am certain that I don't need any adapters if I do. It will not talk to your ycu for instance if your battery is so...

Again: EWS and TD4 swap- help needed

Grrrr. This doesn't usually happen to me but today it did. Some moron connected the fuel pump to the EWS feed from the EDC and some common earth from the EDC. Soon everything went wrong, they asked me to do a diagnostic, correct the wiring and fit a Bearmach pump. Ok. Only it stayed...

Just what i said.. the 'control module is right under the switch pack, actually it is all one thing till you dismantle it. Water comes from the switches when you drive in the rain or have a bad door seal (land Rovers never do :D)
