Been out this morning, bonnet up looked @ the PAS box sprayed a good helping of WD40 on the locking nut, key in ingintion took steering lock of and wiggled the steering rod no play in UJ's just alot of movement from the box roughly could turn the rod 40 degrees either way Locking Nut is 19mm +...

A question then. why are there 2 sizes of pulley? (ref: the sizes are 52mm and 65mm) Is this for earlier/later models or Spec level ie ES with air con & such?

just go down to local autosupplies most of them stock filters for discos and you dont have to wait/pay postage

take the £1 coin sized tamper proof cap off top of fuel pump mark the position of the torx bit, undo 13mm locking nut, turn the torx bit ( off top of me head could be a T-25 bit but would put money on it) a full turn clockwise, tighten locking nut and go for a quick test run, worst its gonna do...

De-cat pipe took me and a friend 20mins to do, day before i sprayed WD40 on the bolts ( a good helping ), and before i went to kip, next day bit more on just incase, went to shop about mile round trip, to heat up um up a bit undid the bolts, if i can remember hardest part was getting the old...

Recognisable Viscosities? ATF is like Hydraulic Oil 32 is that the kinda thing you mean, and does anybody know what grade EVO1 as no info on difflock as i can compare that into the results as well. I will blend the most suitable oil and try this and compare MPG

Yes indeed a larl thick thats why i thinned it out a litre of MTF but its summer and the ambient temp is up so i going with that for now and them come autumn drop back to 2 litres of MTF and 670ml of Evo2.

Normal gears in neutral, then try selecting low box, if moving but having difficulties getting it low box put in first and then lift clutch slighty while contining to push see if that helps, after checking its moving ok, check the transfer gears go over to difflock (LH side of small gear stick)...
